Is The Year 2010 The Year You’ll Finally Succeed as an Internet Marketer?

What obstacles have been holding you back from achieving the kind of success you’ve always dreamed about for the last five months?

Do you even know what’s hurting your financial success? Not everyone does.

New marketers can tend to spin their wheels forever, running out of money in the process until one day they quit trying and leave the IM business frustrated and broke.

What I want you to do before this month is over is to slow down, reassess strategy and move cautiously for a few days. Now STOP trying any and all get rich quick schemes. Let go of them now or everything your working for will disappear.

If you’re still working a job, don’t quit until your Internet Marketing business is flourishing. That way you won’t be dealing with the stress of money and then grasp at straws as a last resort.

If now is the time to re-focus for where you want to be with your business at the end of 2010, start with a couple of questions similar to these…

Q: Do you love working one on one with people?

Q: Are you fond of writing and research?

Keep asking yourself questions to drill deeper in on what you really want.

Now as you learn, take baby steps to build your business the right way. Don’t go too fast or you may skip an important component that could make the difference between success and failure.

Sea$onal Dough — Grab It Now!

Here we are in the fifth month of 2010. Resting and enjoying thoughts of summer holidays.

Wait! What are you doing? You already missed Mothers Day here in the US.

This isn’t a time for rest – it’s a time for action! You’ll want to start tightening your Cyber Monday income opportunities for November 2010 now.

There are tons of ways to still make money in 2010, but you can’t wait until the holiday or event is here.

In order to take full advantage of every opportunity that will present itself from here on out, you should have your calendar out, planning ahead so your feet are already running when you hit the ground.

We all know there’s money made on holidays. People automatically think of Christmas, but what about Memorial Day, the Fourth of July and all the rest?

If you look through your calendar, you’ll see at least one opportunity for each month, and if you don’t see one, use your imagination to come up with one.

Here’s what you need to be doing now:

1) Plan to start working on your holiday and event marketing a minimum of one to two months before you want to launch each campaign.

2) Schedule your campaign to launch well before the actual event – at least a month, so you can get solid seo traction.

3) Use article marketing far enough in advance that they’ll get indexed and ranked early. Then get those other marketing methods created and up and running.

You have to do this before people are ready to buy.

And remember, you can do other event-centered things to bring in money.

There are a lot of ways to capitalize on the power of the Internet for earning money. Start planning how your making money the rest of the year based on seasons and holidays now.

What’s New Around Info Products NOW?

There are always certain topics that remain the same in nature and some that evolve from year to year (even faster in many instances).

If you enter a niche where trend spotting is important, then that’s a skill you need to learn how to master.

Especially if you are in a niche about fashion, Internet Marketing, finances, or technology, then you’d better stay on top of several things – needs, wants and demands and marketplace developments to create sales and conversion opportunities for you.

Let’s take finances as an example first. Consumers are going through a disastrous economical crunch right now. They need, want and demand money savers. Your info product could teach a wide variety of things.

In 2010, consumers will continue to need cost cutting advice. We’re not out of the recession yet. They’ll also need advice on how to find or keep a job, since unemployment is still holding on long after the New Year.

Work at home topics will continue to be highly sought after for those who want to save on daycare and commuting costs, or those who weren’t able to find work the traditional way.

You’ll want to determine if your own niche has trending possibilities or not. Then create a forecast based on market research conducted with keywords and a little spying on what’s going on around you and what experts are predicting.

Are My Info Product Days Numbered?

Seriously?

When have info products never been viable?

You can build a membership site, create thousands of pages of content to fuel an AdSense campaign, be a mentor to others in your niche, act as a service provider who tackles tasks others would rather pay to have done – or develop your own info products that provide you with a residual income for many years.

Info product development means different things to different people. An info product is a product that shares information with others – but the format in which it teaches can vary. Some use an eBook, while others prefer making people pay for audio and video productions in various forms.

Any or all of the methods can help you generate an income online, if the info product is created and marketed in a way that makes consumers rave about your abilities as a teacher.

Info product development will still be very viable for the rest of 2010. If you’re just getting started, don’t mistakenly believe that because there are so many free blogs, websites and article directories chock full of information, there’s no way consumers will pay to gain information shared in a digital download.

You might even find that a healthy combination of audio, video and written text is what makes your hungry audience crave your info products.

Is the Internet Marketing Pie Still Big Enough?

There’s a saying that you should adopt when you decide whether or not to get into a niche – “Everything that can be done has been done before.”

Business = Reinvention.

It’s about putting your own stamp on a product or topic and making people understand that yours is better than the rest.

If it didn’t work this way, then we’d all be resigned to accepting only one hamburger brand, one brand of jeans, one movie with the same theme.

Think of how many e-Books, special reports and white papers you’ve read to date. There are a wide variety of styles in teaching this business. Some will give a methodical, step-by-step technical accounting of AdWords, while others will deliver a more theory-based approach based on gut instinct and trend forecasting.

There will be plenty of room for you as an Internet Marketer in 2010. It doesn’t matter what niche you want to enter.

There’s a spot with your name reserved on it…

If you want to succeed, then you should be going into this business truly believing that you can do it better things than any of your competitors. That you can provide something no one else can – whether it’s secret knowledge of a trick used to make more money or it’s in the way you teach – that helps people learn better from you than others.

Don’t go into Internet Marketing with a mindset that you’ll throw darts against the wall and hope something sticks.

There’s room for you in this industry – but only if you’re willing to do the research and map out a plan of attack before you haphazardly jump in and waste time, money and patience on something you don’t really grasp.

There may not be an Internet Marketing degree you can earn at a college near you, but there is a wealth of information that can prepare you to succeed as an online marketer in any niche market you want to tap.

All you have to do is generate enough interest, determination and motivation to get you from point A to point Z and always pay attention to the W-O-R-K word.

More: I’ll Get Totally Focused… In a Minute!

Let’s consider what kind of business we want to build. If it’s around info product creation, then you’ll want to flesh out a list of all those tasks we have to do that are associated with info product creation.

Such as: niche research, keyword list building, outline for the info product, creation of the info product, sales copy creation and tweaking, affiliate herding (similar to cat wrangling), list building, etc.

Organize a timeline – but what comes first?

Don’t worry about PPC ads when you haven’t completed your e-Book yet. Give every task a time-frame.

How long does it take to write an e-Book anyway? Map it out, be way more than flexible with yourself and don’t panic if e-Book takes a tiny bit longer than you thought it would.

Now pencil in tasks that have to be done over the rest of 2010. For example, keyword research will not end in some niche markets. You’ll likely also find out how trends affect the way people search and know things as soon as possible. And it’ll also help us cash in on the evolution within a given niche.

Don’t let new reports, white-papers and other shiny objects take you away from your mission. Unsubscribe from the lists that continually do nothing but hard sell you and focus only on a few that motivate you and make sense.

I’ll Get Totally Focused… In a Minute!

One big problem I see from the folks who come to me for Internet Marketing advice is they just can’t seem to figure out what to do next.

Not only that, but their path(s) meander all over the place – from learning the latest PPC non-slapping techniques to how to launch new poducts and even working on an info product they can call their very own. Maybe an e-Book or something more ambitious?

Information overload is smacking us right between the eyes.

There are greener pastures though where overload stops if you’re willing to look at the rest of 2010 and make a FOCUSED plan now instead of jumping all over the place as you go along.

Part of that “One big problem” we talked about earlier is that we’re all kind of like kids in a candy store.

We’re looking at one bright shiny new object after another and aren’t really sure what they do anyway OR we already own more IM bright shiny objects than we can count.

How about we start right here and right now?

For the rest of 2010, let’s do better things!

Sit down and map out your plan month by month. Afterall, you only have 7 months to plan out instead of 12. How about we just get started on the rest of this month and next month? Imagine the possibilities.
