Cloud of Smoke

Grateful for influences recognized with honor.

Back in the day teachers encouraged us to read books banned (or eliminated – banning is so dramatic) from general literature curriculum today.

Never a whisper. Poof. Gone in a cloud of smoke without a flamethrower.

“Life should not be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in a pretty and well preserved body, but rather to skid in broadside in a cloud of smoke, thoroughly used up, totally worn out, and loudly proclaiming “Wow! What a Ride!” ~ Hunter S. Thompson

In gratitude for teachers talking about the lives and the times.

Note to Self: Next time around maybe extract the essence of another quote in the impressionable teen years as your mantra Mark.

This one eventually kicks you in the ass every time. Just sayin’.

Thank You!
