Stop, Look & Listen

Quest2015 – Day 5

Reading time: 02 minutes

“What if you could envision how to live your quest in 2015 with the provocative guidance of visionary entrepreneurs, scientists, thought leaders, artists, writers, teachers, and adventurers?”Jeffrey DavisTracking Wonder

Today’s Theme: Stop

Here is the prompt posted for Questers on December 11 courtesy of Charlie Gilkey

“Pursue knowledge, daily gain. Pursue Tao (wisdom), daily loss.” – Tao Te Ching*

We often think too much about adding new things, when the source of a lot of our growth is eliminating old things.

What do you need to STOP doing in 2015?

And what do you need to do to make that STOPPING more than an intention?

My responses to the questions from @CharlieGilkey

Q: What do I need to STOP doing in 2015?

I need to stop NOT asking for what I want and deserve in my life and from my work.

And I need to stop WAITING for someone else to ask me about what I want or deserve.

Q: What do I need to do to make that STOPPING more than an intention?

Ask. I need to open my heart. Open up my soul. Open my mouth and ask.

I need to ask and ask again.

And then ask one more time.

Ask for what I want. Ask for what I desire. Ask for what supports me in doing my best work.

Ask for open doors to unheard of possibility.

Ask for help from others.

Ask to be led to those who through their own experience are able to listen, offer qualified advice and listen some more.

Ask to be led to those who have an untold capacity to offer truth, support and loving yet firm understanding.

I need to ask to be heard.

I just need to start asking and keep on asking.

Not stopping until I have no reasons left to ask anymore.

Ask until others start asking me for what they need and want. Until they start asking me for what they desire and what will support them in doing their best work.

I need to open fully my heart, my mouth, this soul and just fucking ask!

Ask.
